'IT'S OVER': Biden Defeats Trump In Tense Election To Become America's Next President

'Biden Defeats Trump in a nail-biting election to become America’s next president,' Business Insider, 9 hrs ago, 11/6/20.

The Democratic nominee Joe Biden was projected to win the 2020 presidential election as of early Friday, after voters rejected President Donald Trump's chaotic and deeply polarizing first term.

Biden's running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, made history by becoming the nation's first female, Black, and Indian American vice president.

Biden surpassed the 270 electoral votes required to win the White House by flipping the battleground states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, according to projections by Decision Desk HQ. Georgia, North Carolina, and Nevada are continuing to count ballots in their tight races.

Biden won over 4 million more votes than Trump as of Friday, a lead that's likely to grow as states finalize their results in the coming days and weeks.

With Biden's victory, Trump becomes the 13th president to lose reelection and just the fourth to do so since the end of World War II.
