Donald Trump Has Hidden Evidence Of His Crimes For Years. Joe Biden Can Expose It.
The new administration should open the books and expose the Trump administrations misdeeds.

President Donald Trump will leave office on Jan. 20 under the biggest cloud of corruption and scandal of any president since 1974, when Richard Nixon waved dual victory signs after resigning in disgrace.
If President-elect Joe Biden was inclined to prosecute Trump, his only dilemma would be where to start. Trumps own Department of Justice refused to indict him for alleged crimes uncovered related to hush-money payments to his extra-marital lovers, and for obstruction of justice alleged in the Russia investigation. He faces multiple state-level criminal inquiries stemming from his personal business practices, civil suits related to his alleged sexual assaults and his 2017 inauguration.
But Biden is reportedly wary of launching investigations into his predecessor and has made clear he wont tell federal law enforcement what to do. I will not do what {Trump] does and use the Justice Department as my vehicle to insist that something happened, Biden told NBC News on Nov. 24.
While Biden admirably does not intend on echoing Trumps undemocratic lock them all up chants, his administration can simply allow independent prosecutors to make their own decisions by opening the books on the Trump administration to expose wrongdoing, self-dealing and unlawful activity.

(8,233 posts)through the years the "political elite" of both parties seem to have an habit of just ignoring the crimes and misdemeanors of those in office - regardless of party. I don't have a major problem with that usually but in Trump's case he has tried with all of his might to undermine our democracy and made our nation a laughing stock to much of the world all with the intention of helping himself and his family.
As I've said before, the only way we stop this grift is to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law. Follow the law and let it determine where it takes us. I think that should happen to whomever the culprit is - regardless of political persuasion.
Unless there is a COST for breaking the law it is a green light for others to do it, if they are connected. Not for us "common folk". Trump will continue to be a pestilence on our nation unless we show him he cannot get away with it.
I suspect that many will think that if Biden does that then he will have alienated 70 million people. In reality those folks will never support someone of sound mind - it's just a fact.

tRump got away all his life, so far, except for getting busted by his daddy for a switchblade and getting sent to pompous military academy.
Ultimately it is less about tRump and more about preserving the integrity of the system and democracy.
