Loonies of the right, who is not able to read more than half of a sentence, are wondering why a Party would take those amazing powers away from their own president. Another example of what separates the two parties!

(17,467 posts)but not in reaction to a launch by other players. When seconds count, you can't afford to wait minutes. That is why sole authority was granted to begin with. The MAD philosophy is what keeps the genii in the bottle, if you reject that MAD policy, and that could well be the most rational path, then we just as well destroy our arsenal unilaterally.
Of course it is academic, because if any open nuke warfare begins, civilization, or what passed as civilization, ends and a prolonged dying off of the human species begins. The surviving species would probably view it as a good riddance.
All we are saying is, is give roaches a chance.
I understand why the issue is important now; we have seen that we are quite capable of putting madmen in the White House.
I can predict with certainty that the Republicans will use this letter to further spread the lie that Biden is suffering from dementia, and the Democrats are afraid of what he may do. It is handing them propaganda possibilities on a silver platter.
