Without wanting something from them,or making it transactional empowers them and yourself. It's a win-win.

It stops the zero sum game pounded into us by a sick ,evil profit exploitation system.

Even if it's just for a moment, of kindness shared the zero sum game ceases.

And the blinders fall away. We don't need to live in the zero sum games anymore .

I have never ignored a homeless person, I do talk to them. I keep 7-11 gift cards on me when travel to downtown Dallas. And yesterday I got two strangers to help me catch a tiny kitten in a busy parking lot, who I took to the animal shelter today. But yes, I know it is quite common for people to ignore those in need.

It's great to see help and kindness toward humans and animals in need.

There but for the grace of God go I, a favorite passed on from my dad that's stuck.

I've always hated to see suffering, it goes way back.
