Two suspects arrested for murdering Brooke Buchler, a Louisiana woman found dead at an abandoned Navy base nine months ago, believed she would be a liability because she knew that they brutally beat a man she had accused of rape, police said.
Dylan Craddock and Cody Matthews were previously charged in St. Tammany Parish with kidnapping and attempting to murder the man Buchler alleged sexually assaulted her. The pair, who have both been in custody since September, are now also facing a count of second-degree murder in New Orleans for Buchlers killing.

The 25-year-old waitress, who also went by Bee, was first reported missing on August 22, the Times-Picayune reported. Her body was found dumped in the former Naval Support Activity building in Bywater a day later.
