2. We won't know for certain until Schumer forces a vote. Voting rights bill scheduled for June 21

3. I would only add to the letter-
Having lived in West Virginia, Mr. Manchin, I can tell you: The state is doomed to be significantly smaller vis-a-vis the rest of the country. There's nothing you can do about that. What you can insure is that West Virginia, a generation or two down the way, is greener, better educated, healthier, and most of all, happier.

4. It's not a question of parts of bills
it's a question of eliminating the gridlock that even Manchin has complained about. Voting rights and a January 6 commission are the most bii-partisan issues that exist and since the GOP isn't going to support either one of them as long as McConnell is around, go around the stump and put him where the people of Kentucky have failed to put him, in retirement. My guess is that he'll step down if the filibuster goes away.
