People Think There's Something 'Third Reich' About Trump's New Cards For Supporters

08/05/2021 03:11 am ET Updated 6 minutes ago

The Trump cards are for the former president’s “STRONGEST supporters” and folks had thoughts.

By Lee Moran

In a fundraising email sent out Wednesday, Trump’s Save America PAC asked Trump’s fans to select their favorite of four.

One misspelled the word “official” as “offical.”

“We’re about to launch our Official Trump Cards, which will be reserved for President Trump’s STRONGEST supporters, and we have some very exciting news to share with you,” read the email.

Trump himself thought the cards were “BEAUTIFUL” and wanted the American people to decide which one they preferred, because “they ALWAYS know best!” according to the email.

The poll is likely a troll and a sham at once, like everything else they do to ‘own’ American democracy.

Gave out the day, the date, the time, and the place for the attempted coup.

Held a pre violence/riot/treason pep rally.

Had his chief of staff's niece fill out the paperwork for the permit for his pre riot party.

Helped to pay for the mob and "other things" using campaign funds.

Decapitated the D.C. National Guard prior to 1/6/21 so they could not respond.

Refused to call of his terrorists when called on by Mike Pence & Kevin McCarthy to do so.

And when the MD National Guard got there and the rioters were allowed to walk away he
told them that he "loved 'em."

They want to install a while supremacist, authoritarian, oligarchic government.

As you point out, there was extensive GOP involvement at the highest levels, in the planning, funding, and providing cover for treason. The president and members of Congress were directing and funding the coup d'etat.

And Trump walks free, in fact becoming quite wealthy with his fund raising scams.

I guess it is true, if you are president, nothing is illegal.

.... as it is now, and that Joe and Kamala are putting together a new Democratic Party that
is based on women, people of color, gays, educated people, much of the middle class, and
many more groups that will be very tough to beat in the future so they have to cheat, try to
overthrow our Constitutionally installed democracy, block people from voting, flood the much
of the media and social networks with misinformation, gerrymandering, packing the courts,
and keep people divided with non issues such as critical race theory and the threat to our
families and the very fabric of America by "transgender terrorists."

BTW another non issue now is the threat of inflation because of Biden's actions.

Imagine, elected officials weaponizing public health and causing the deaths of millions of Americans.
It is just collateral damage to them.

Imagine, US elected officials collaborating and receiving money and assistance from Putin and the Russian oligarchs?

Imagine, US elected officials, including a sitting president, and US senators attempting to overthrow an election? Imagine them trying to kill/kidnap a sitting Vice President from their own party and the Speaker of the House?

If this were a book or movie, the public would reject it as ludicrous beyond belief. But it is happening in real time as we speak.

The GOP is using the divide and conquer approach to leadership. It has been fairly successful so far. Biden is using the build and unite style.
This would be a fascinating match up if so many lives were not on the line.

I think the inflation story is another Goebbels' style talking point.

I assume he knows how close we came to losing our democracy. And in fact, we are still at high risk of losing our country to our enemies.

We are really quite lucky to have Biden as our president right now. He is the right person for the crises we face right now.
And he fully understands what it means to lose our democracy, he knows it to his core.

Biden's mother's family is from a small village in Ireland, quite close to the small village where my paternal grandparents were born and raised. So I think I have a small window into his thought and emotive processes.

The Irish are a fiercely proud and independent people, so the thousand year reign of brutal subjugation and colonization by the British went down very hard for them, very hard indeed. They were forced to give up everything, their land, their language, their religion. They were systematically starved and enslaved.

Words cannot really describe how Irish immigrants felt upon immigrating to the US. To finally be free, to be able to feed and educate their children. To live in peace and freedom. Some of their offspring, like my father, developed a passionate love of America, and everything it stood for. My father joined the US military and flew combat in three wars, risking his life for a country that had taken his parents in and guaranteed them a better life. His loyalty and love of the country seemed a bit over the top to his children, but we understood why it was there.

I see the same traits in Joe Biden. His love of country, his loyalty, personally risking everything to keep our democracy. We see Joe's charm and sentimentality, but underneath there is a total commitment to fight and fight hard to preserve our democracy. He knows what is at stake.

There are two interesting facts about how the Irish fight. I know this may seem like stereotype, but stereotypes often are based upon fact. The Irish will fight hard in direct combat. Also they can be quite clever at circumventing the powers that be in an indirect way. A thousand years of subjugation by the British taught them those skills. People are always amazed at how Joe gets things done behind the scene. I am not surprised at all.

... internalized those hurts and uses them along with his faith in trying to help other people
and his country. Joe has also surrounded himself with truly talented people who in private
will disagree with him much like he disagreed with President Obama in private too because
Joe knows how important it is to hear the other side too. Joe is a real thinker too in that he
taught @ the University of Delaware's law school for years and enjoys poetry too.

Besides he is Irish and likes dogs. We are seeing a master class in class, grace, and love in
Joe right now.

He also has superb political skills and seems to be most expert at passing legislation.
And beating the GOP at their own game.

He is low key and humble, and is good at getting people to underestimate him.
People are probably surprised when he hits them hard in their Achilles' heel or waives the most seductive of carrots in their noses.

Also I would bet a lot of money that he cusses up a storm in private. The more devout the Irish Catholic, the more they swear.

with distinction. This is the highest award that a president can bestow upon a civilian. Adding "with distinction" is another layer of honor.

At the time, Obama called Biden "one of the most consequential vice presidents in American history." At the time, some thought perhaps this was a bit of hyperbole on Obama's part. But I think we are seeing first hand what Obama meant.

During the election cycle they somehow got my email and I'd get on average 10 requests for money per day in my spam folder.

I unsubscribed, and didn't see any for months. Seems they've resurrected their lists. Haven't opened any, but the subject lines are bashing Dems, Libs, and Biden, and offering perks and rewards for contributions.

Don the con was always what we called him in NY, decades ago.

I suspect his most loyal supporters will want one of these loyalty cards.
Very 3rd Reich indeed.

All four cards have misspelled the word. It is supposed to be "offal," although "awful" was also considered appropriate.
