I want these MSNBC talking heads to stop
yelling at me! God! Chris Matthews yells at me. Even Rachel, who I love, yells at me. The news is bad enough...don't scream it at me! A very wise person once told me that, in a debate, if you have to raise your voice, you're losing.

(9,681 posts)my dad loves to "debate" loudly! He and I were always butting heads. One time I told him, "just because you're louder doesn't mean you're right", he stuttered a bit and backed off....for a while.

(1,642 posts)Hey Raven ... it's not a debate ... it's "entertainment."
Hardball is a circus sometimes! There can be three talkers, all agreeing with each other, talking over each other, with Mathews always scolding someone ... even if he agrees. It's good commentary, but very annoying to listen to sometimes.
Up until the 2006 election, when the left tide came in, Mathews was so obviously right-bat-sh*t conservative (like Joe). Then, he changed sides. What an opportunist!
Ed makes me think of a left-wing Rush Limbaugh. He does tend to bloviate. His show is often the same, in essential substance, from day to day. Very big ego.
Rachel never shows ego. Her show used to be the best, back when she was paired with Keith O. Her show was fast-paced and hard hitting (like Countdown). But, right around the time the KO was booted, her style changed. She was never the type to repeat herself over the course of several sentences. Now, she is. Always repeating. Slower show. Fewer topics. Longer discussions.
Still, she is my favorite, and has been since Air America. Impressive as a human, a woman, and a commentator.
Lawrence is almost unwatchable to me. I agree with most things he says. (Hey, I'm a lib.) But, he's a serious drama queen. I don't like his shtick of "glare and ire." He's always glaring ... and mad, as if he takes all the right-wing crap personally.
I'm curious how others feel about our Fab Four libs on MSNBC.
I'm a "cord-cutter" (no cable TV), and part of the reason is I can watch these shows at my convenience on the MSNBC website.
Thanks.

I like Martin Bashir. Extremely intelligent, low key guy. Wears fabulous looking suits as well. (Fashion critic here)
Chris Hayes manages to control his guests and it does not turn into a shouting match. His show always is polite.

(1,451 posts)The weekend trash reality shows, and stop making the left look weak for me to watch them. The ads are obnoxious too, big money ads, the worst.
