American Politicians and Media Supporting Putin and Bashing Biden Should Take Note

of those "Remarkable" Russian protesters.

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2022/02/american-politicians-and-media.html

As Russians by the thousands risk arrest and imprisonment to exercise a right that we take for granted, we have some American politicians (and some media commentators) who have foolishly opened their mouths and have gone on record as being admirers and supporters of Putin, who is standing against everything America stands for and has invaded Ukraine to keep the kind of freedom upon which our country is built away from his doorstep. And they're doing it to gain the favor of a former President who tried to isolate the United States from its democratic, freedom-loving allies and who launched a riot on January 6, 2021 to overturn a free and fair election and subvert the Constitution.

That's not going to turn out well for anyone who has done it.

The President and his administration have handled this crisis as well as any previous administration has ever handled such an event. There is a measure of competence, confidence, and knowledge that comes with experience. President Biden's leadership has earned the trust of our NATO allies once again, after four years of uncertainty, and it has been his leadership over these recent months that has united most of the world against Putin's aggression. Calling out Putin's intentions, telling the world what he was planning in spite of his denials, and being right on target with the information has been an absolutely brilliant strategy. That's the mark of real experience.

Ironically, many of those who are apparently siding with Putin because of the influence of a segment of the extremist right are also those who have been screaming that mask mandates and vaccination requirements are tyranny. That's a laughable comparison to the kind of tyranny that is visible in Russia under Putin every day, and it's not even close to what we are about to see unfold in Ukraine under a Putin occupation. Such ignorance is inexcusable in America.

They too promulgate the corrosion of truth, the destruction of democracy, the naked grab of power and resources and demonstrated the absolute cowardice of picking on someone who is weaker than you because you are so afraid of truth and democracy.

If we fall for their putrid nonsense, if we waste our precious time arguing with fools, we lose.

I don't have cable TV because I refuse to have any part of my payment go toward support of Fox News. I don't want to hear what Fox idiots have to say. When MSNBC or CNN show what those assholes are saying I turn them off too.

Paul Manafort, a Trump ally and former campaign manager. It is beyond understanding, knowing what Manafort did in Ukraine, that any Americans at all were so pitifully ignorant, stupid and duped by the extremist right wing media to vote for someone who was willing to hire Manafort to manage his presidential campaign. Too many Americans are mesmerized by their phone or computer, or are just too self absorbed to be informed about what is going on in the world.

Wanna bet Hannity, Carlson and that whole disgusting, slimy, lying bunch of traitors are on the Kremlin payroll?

They want to portray Biden as weak, addled, inept, demented and indecisive. They've followed that tactic even from before he was overwhelmingly elected to office.

But we have a real President now who knows what he's doing. Unlike his predecessor who tried, and failed, to do everything himself and made himself look like the bumbling, incompetent, ignorant idiot that he is, Biden finds the best advisors available and lets them do their job. The Biden administration has been gathering intelligence and telling the world exactly what they've found ever since this started, and they've been right about everything. They've been able to restore NATO confidence in the US, after Trump trashed the relationship to kiss Putin's and Kim Jong Un's rear ends, and they're following Biden's leadership and have been drawn together by this crisis. The sanctions were spot-on, joined in immediately around the world, supported everywhere.

Can you imagine what would be happening now if Trump, who did everything in his power to undermine the relationship between the US and Ukraine in order to suck up to Putin, including withholding money that Congress had already approved as a bribe, were still in the White House? He'd be helping Putin dismantle Ukraine and holding out his hand for his personal share of the loot.

We have to make sure that man not only never has a chance to run for public office again, but goes to jail for the crimes he committed while in office.
