Simply put, Trump is embarrassed
Losing anything but especially so concretely just isn’t possible. It counters everything about the persona that he’s built and even convinced himself of.
He’s mastered (he thought) the ability to turn failure into success. Steaks, water, vodka, repo’ed property didn’t happened like it looked. Wait a while and then tell everyone how it really was a great triumph. That can’t be done here. Sure he’s convinced a lot of the already convinced and himself that it didn’t happen or at least he was ripped off. Like sport there was a final score. Period. You can argue calls and unlucky breaks or whatever. When the clock shows 0 or the whistle blows or the last out is made, you turn around and look at the scoreboard. There’s a 1 going in one of your columns - Win Loss or Draw. That’s it. He isn’t built for this. It’s unimaginable. The worst thing for him is that he knows it isn’t going to change.

1. He chose to be a bad president.
He had every privilege and opportunity and did not do one good thing for the world. That's embarrassing.

11. Good question. I think he does.
I think he’s convinced himself otherwise but he knows. He knows how people see him and he can’t fix this.

3. He's a loser who just keeps losing.
I hope he sucks on a losing lemon every day for the rest of his miserable life. I've never wished this for anyone before, but I so wish he would hurry up and just freaking stroke out!

7. OK, I know I'm old, but the theme from "Dinah Shore" just popped into my head.
"I've been working as a loser
All the live long day. I've been working as a loser Just to grift the rubes my way. Can't you hear the people shouting Grift them so early in the morn. Can't you hear the losers shouting, Donald, blow your horn". The rest, dear friend, is up to you! |

10. The prime interest increase hurt too
He has a lot of debt tied to the prime rate. He tried talking it down to the Fed for that reason alone.

12. I don't believe he feels embarrassment. This is the guy who...
invented and then destroyed a football league. He destroyed the Plaza Hotel and the rrst of Central Park South. He had hundreds of pieces of proprties but only made money from those he had minority interest in. He was always considered a joke by the rest of the RE community. He was even a joke to his alleged customers, like NBC who used him as negotiating fodder. When he couldn't get NBC to move, he called them idiots.
He is incapable of feeling embarrassment-- he only feels loss, or something equivalent. |

16. Trump is just a liar. He isn't embarrassed. He is just trying to bully to get his way.
Trump will do anything to keep power. Anything.

17. He's never seriously been held accountable for anything, during his entire 76 years on this earth
He's been able to threaten, ignore, bully, dither, lie or pay his way out of every misdeed.
I so very much do hope we all get to see his flock of misdeed fleas come home to roost. |
