TFG's lawyers could be the first indicted due to the Jan 6th hearings
Trump's lawyers could be the first indicted due to the Jan 6th hearings -- and that's very bad news for himWriting, "If prosecutors can prove that one or more of them created the false certificates, and knew that doing so was illegal, they may have criminal liability," he suggested that testimony given so far has demonstrated that they knew they were lying and that could be used against them in a trial where, by virtue of the fact that they are also attorneys, makes the case against them even easier.
"Because the statute criminalizing false statements requires knowledge that the statement was false and that the defendant was doing something illegal, the attorneys are the easiest targets for DOJ," he wrote before elaborating, "As attorneys, it will be hard for Eastman, Giuliani and Ellis to claim that they had no idea that they were acting outside the four corners of state law by convening 'alternative' electors and submitting them to the Senate even though the state had already submitted official electors. It will also be hard for Clark to argue that he had no idea that what he was doing was illegal, given that his superiors forcefully told him so."

Eric Holder tweeted about these guys needing to be disbarred. I agree--oh and jail time is in order.

OP
Ignorance of the law is an excuse unavailable to the poor. They should have educated themselves.

It's not that they didn't know, it that they don't think laws apply to them

"If they knew" and "if they knew". Our criminal justice system only works on the poor.

Exactly, pretty much confirming that they won't be indicted,

One particular "thought' seems to prevail among all sociopaths, and that is that a sociopath actually believe they are above the laws of the land. Rules or Laws simply do not apply to them. It's not about ignorance of the law, no matter how much they attempt to use it in court.
A fascists sympathising Judge, might selectively grant that excuse, however. as you point out, Ignorance of the Law is repeatedly referenced to everyone else.

TFG has shown no loyalty to these lawyers and it will be amusing to see if these lawyers flip
