Making A Case That Breaking Twitter Was The Plan and Why

I’m presenting a thesis: Elon Musk is breaking Twitter as a co-opted asset for the Putin Oligarchy with the purpose of disrupting or damaging the best information coming out of Ukraine to the public that bolsters support in NATO and the west.

Of course this thesis can and will never be proven but I want to make what I think is a compelling case.

I ask you to examine my points with a skeptical view and see if I can convince you. Even if the first thought is “That sounds crazy and conspiratorial” I ask you to remember that “Trump Russia” was real and the Mueller report showed that Vladmir Putin executed an extreme cyber attack on us in that case.

...

Fact #1 Musk used a talking point that is a direct construct of Vladmir Putin which isn’t a popular Russian talking point at that.

This is something I've suspected, without any factual basis, just instinct. - WB

2. Are you thinking they are going to repay Musk the money he used to purchase twitter?

I don't think he is principled enough to throw away that kind of money.

Control over American politics.

FYI: ppl that don’t use TikTok are surprised to hear there’s a lot of very useful news on the site from trusted sources. I watch President Zelensky’s addresses that are posted to TikTok every night. Since TikTok is Chinese owned, the RW can’t shut it down.

It’s not perfect, but there is moderation of posts, and again lots of good news.

6. No way. Musk isn't throwing 45 billion to lose. Even though he is worth 240 billion, and 20

billion was his own money in the twitter deal with the rest being loans, he didn't do this for putin. It makes no sense at all.

It is his ego and mouth that has got him into this fiasco, and it has effected his Tesla holdings, where investors and people are just starting to see how unstable he is.

It's really not that complicated: Elon Musk really IS that stupid (ego) a business person

Read the book "Lights Out" about how the CEOs wrecked GE.
Astoundingly stupid business deals, largely due to stupidity and ego

the Russian Army? While I ultimately agree that the intent was to break Twitter, I'm not sure who , in particular, was the chief benefactor. Russia, China, Saudia Arabia, and every anti-democratic country would benefit from a communication platform that provides instantreous news and commentary to a global population.

13. Another interesting theory: The purchase is part of a larger project to undermine the US dollar

Musk’s friends, specifically Peter Thiel, David Sacks, and Rod D. Martin, have been trying to replace the dollar since their days at PayPal. Former PayPal COO David Sacks said, in 2017, “Bitcoin is fulfilling PayPal’s original vision to create a ‘new world currency.’” PayPal co-founder Luke Nosek confirmed in 2019, “The initial mission of PayPal was to create a global currency that was independent of interference by … corrupt cartels of banks and governments that were debasing their currencies.” Sacks has been playing an especially vocal role in recent weeks in amplifying Kremlin messaging, suggesting that Ukraine should capitulate to avoid nuclear war.

Musk and his “new world currency” crew are aiming to usher in a new “multipolar order,” which was the subject of Putin’s recent talk at the Valdai Discussion Club. And the alignment of the PayPal mafia with Putin means they have at least the verbal threat of Russia’s nukes to back their agenda.

...
And there’s the matter of “X,” Musk’s proposed “everything app.” It’s been floated as a response to WeChat, China’s ubiquitous app, that’s come to dominate both payments and the social sphere. Supposing such an app starts to take on the task of “voting” around controversial topics. At what point does this start to challenge the legitimacy of elected governments? This is something Musk is likely to explore.
