Election deniers think their supporters are ignorant and stupid.

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2022/11/election-deniers-think-their-supporters.html

The whole premise behind arguments claiming that American elections are "fixed" or "rigged" or that there was "massive voter fraud" is getting people who are completely ignorant of the processes of voting and counting ballots on board with the claims. That's really the whole thing in a nutshell. I seriously doubt that any candidate running for office believes that their loss was due to a "rigged" or "fixed" election. They know, before they decide to run, that the process is checked, double checked and completely secure, or they'd never run in the first place. When they make those claims, either after they've already lost, or in anticipation that they might, they are counting on those among the electorate who buy into the false conspiracy theories and think that there's someone out there somewhere who is "out to get them."

No matter how secure or organized a process is, there is always human error. Most issues with elections involve malfunctioning equipment, like the situation with the printers and computers in Maricopa county, Arizona. But election workers are trained to handle those errors, and to make sure that everyone who wants to cast a ballot gets to cast one. That does include allowances to keep a polling place open until everyone who was in line before closing gets to vote, or to make sure that any prior glitches were handled correctly.

Kari Lake was depending on the ignorance and stupidity of enough Arizonans to carry out a big rally at the state capitol and create a show, to put pressure on the county board and the Secretary of State, in the hopes of changing the inevitable outcome of the election. That's not going to happen. There were, in fact, fewer complaints about ballot issues in Arizona this time around, including those that Lake collected on her website, than in 2020, and even then, not nearly enough to alter the outcome of the election.

Arizonans do know B.S. when they see it, Kari. And apparently plenty of them see it in you.

For multiple elections.

Your post is right on! Elections are secure and voter fraud is not a thing. Well, except for the Republicans who were caught voting their dead family member's ballot. That was voter fraud right there!

But busloads of "illegals" cannot pull up to a polling place and receive a ballot. To be frank, undocumented people don't want to get anywhere near any locale that might expose them.

And let me tell you that election day work is long and challenging. The pay is minimal and the process involves unpaid training classes given by the County Elections Board. People who do this job are truly public servants, in the best sense.

Thanks for this.

who believe all the lies and conspiracies about the evil vote counting machines. They are risking ballot counts in their counties being included in the state total, which will overturn state legislative elections and at least one congressional seat, because they are both red counties. They have no power to stop the statewide certification of the votes.

Lake is grasping at straws. She was unqualified which was why she lost The courts are throwing her claims out as Maricopa County documented every instance of problems with ballot printers and demonstrated that no one was denied the right to vote. At any rate, the affected precincts did not have enough registered voters to change the outcome, even if all of them had voted for Lake, but apparently, the vote in that precinct went against her.

I read an article not long ago that was an interview with an election official. I don't remember where she was from or if she were responsible at the precinct, town or county level, but she was in charge of running elections. She had received all kinds of hate mail and death threats. Her biggest frustration was that the people who were harassing her had absolutely no idea of the processes used in administering the election.

So, she arranged to present a seminar to all those who had questions about how things work. She prepared a presentation and was ready to answer any and all questions that anyone might have about the material. It was a free presentation--no admission fee.

Given how often she faced harassment, she was expecting a few hundred people to attend. Fewer than 10 showed up.

Contrast this with the hundreds that actually pay people like Mike Lindell to tell them what they want to hear.

They want to hear that they were robbed.

They're really going to "own the libs" on this one! They're going to flip a congressional seat and a state executive office to Democrats that Republicans actually won.

Way to go Cochise County Supervisors! You win the contest this week for "Most Ignorant and Stupid People in the Country"!
