Democrats have a message that is motivating voters!

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2023/04/moving-toward-message-that-motivates.html

The 2022 midterm elections were a gift to the Democratic party. I've never believed Republicans ever represented the mainstream of America, since I consider myself in the mainstream, and I have little in common with the GOP, less now than ever before. But I think the narrative heading into 2024 is being written as we speak, and I think that there are some personalities within the Democratic party who are picking up the themes and crafting them into what I believe will be an overwhelming advantage for Democrats running for anything in 2024.

The attention that has been drawn to the Tennessee legislature, and its locked-down Republican majority has been damaging to the far right extremists who run it. Several years ago, a political reporter for the Nashville daily newpaper, The Tennessean, said it would take a major political awakening in Tennessee among moderate to liberal voters who have been lulled into inaction by Republican dominance, to turn things around. This looks very much like that's happening.

Didn't we know that, in the wake of any court ruling that overturned either part or all of Roe v. Wade, there would be idiocy and stupidity on the right that would boggle the mind? We did, but I don't think anyone really imagined that it would turn out to be as bad as it is. In their zeal to force their will on everyone else, the right is simply helping to set the table for the return of Roe more quickly than they imagined it would happen if it ever were repealed. The backlash of this is spreading everywhere as red states jump to put laws into effect with consequences they never dreamed of in damaging women's health care. The state of Idaho is well on the way to eliminating all pre-natal and maternity medical care in its hospitals. Florida is making it impossible for doctors to practice medicine. Combined with all things Trump, and the increasing cry for common sense gun control legislation, the next election cycle looks rosy for Democrats.

I glanced at your link, since I wondered who wrote this?

No author was listed. Is it one person's blog?

It's well done!

as a benefit because it will get Dems elected? Something wrong there.

We lost the House in 22. It doesn't matter if it was by a little bit. The people who tried to overthrow the election now hold Congress hostage, even after 2 years of testimony about their complicity.

Fascist authority feels safe in making horrible moves like Tennessee. The right holds state governments and is trying for a constitutional convention. Voting rights are severely damaged, which is why the right is so confident of taking and holding power. Honest election workers are quitting en masse. Women's rights are set back generations. Petrochemical disasters are growing, including climate catastrophe - I hope we don't get this year's forecast super-El Nino. A few corporations now own most of the media and control messaging.

We can't afford to wait until 24 to fight back. This isn't a bridge game, taking turns politely, this is cutthroat Dodge City poker, with guns under the table. We can't have confidence in free and fair elections.

They are laying the groundwork as we speak to try and turn the election process to their direction. We can't be caught off guard and there shouldn't be waiting. I just voted this month in a local city council and school board election. In one of the candidate forums for school board, I asked every candidate to tell me whether or not they believed elections, especially 2020, were fair, and whether or not they supported Trump. I got some strange looks, until I explained, after they responded, that I would not vote to put anyone in office who supported the buffoon or who believed the elections were stolen. That pretty much made my choices for me, since there were two out of six who were Trumpies. In a school district where there are over 11,000 registered voters, less than 100 turned out, but thankfully, the Trumpies lost. I wonder if that's because I brought up the question.

We got Dodds because a lot of Democrats and independents who are sympathetic, sat around during midterm elections and let the GOP get into position to grab the appointments. I don't know any other way to get things back on track except to use the political power it has given Democrats to turn things around.

We lost the house in 22 because, in the party's political strategy, districts in places like New York and California were ignored or taken for granted.

why weren't those criminals prosecuted? Like Gaetz? There were tons of evidence.

We ignored Santos after a small newspaper outed him months before the election?

If we stop being timid I say we can draw in millions of new voters.

Neither party represents the mainstream of the U.S. Instead, they promote neoconservatism and neoliberalism which work with each other, and all in favor of Wall Street.

Is working to reduce impact of climate change, improve access to healthcare, helping another democracy defend itself from a war-criminal-led oligarchy, improve our own neglected infrastructure, reduce gun violence, etc. while the other is off burning books. That's why I'm a Democrat

Both Democrats and Republicans promote neoconservatism and neoliberalism in order to maintain four decades of voodoo economics.

They took the House. They now have the power to obstruct progress and cause chaos. Two years after trying to overthrow the government.

How did that happen? The Covfeferacy has done better than Bobby Lee ever did.
