S7:E15 (The GOP; Losing Women Over Abortion Policy)

This week on Across the Desk, Kit talks about the culture war politics of extreme anti-abortion positions of Conservatives that even include limits, if not out right bans, on contraception and healthcare choices that have really turned off the largest voting bloc in the USA... Women... And how it is hurting (R)s at the ballot box as recently as April 4th.

IMO, most of these self-righteous asshole (mostly) men who make these laws have a very narrow image of who gets an abortion. It's a young, single, sexually active woman who is probably sleeping with more than one man. I doubt they think happily married women over 30 ever consider abortion. I'm sure they don't think any men would support their wife having an abortion. After all, what man making $30K a year with two kids already, wouldn't want another miracle to feed? It's about controlling women. The bonus is that it also keeps the lower classes in their place.

The youth movement is awake. I feel it. THEY ARE WOKE & THEY ARE PISSED. They are sick of lockdown drills at school while the zealots strip the library bare. These "girls" grew up with reproductive rights. They aren't going to let a bunch of women-fearing cowardly men strip them of their autonomy. They've alerted their partners, who realize this will affect them, too, by forcing them to have bigger families in a rigged economy where only a few can afford big families. And then there's the big ZERO that we are doing about climate change, which is entirely the fault of republicans.

Republicans have no ideas. They have to lie, cheat, & steal to win.
