The GOP is in a race with the Mouse, and they are losing

2024 will be the first presidential election in which anti-abortion legislation will have been implemented in many states. It is also the first election in which DeSantis vs. the Mouse will be an issue. This may sound shallow, but the latter may be a much bigger factor in the election because for anyone under the age of 45, Disney is a much more powerful symbol than DeSantis' fascist makeover of Florida.

In 2019, Millennials exceeded Boomers for the first time.

In 2019, Millennials exceeded Boomers for the first time. In 2024, there will be seven million more Millennials than there will be Boomers. In 2028, Boomers will be eclipsed by GenXers (which is smaller, but generally politically more independent) in 2028, making it the third largest bloc. Also note that this information predates the Pandemic, which disproportionately hit Boomers, so it is likely that this may be underestimating the difference by as much as two million people today, and five million people by 2028.

The number of people aged 23 to 38 as of 2019 is 72 M in 2019. That number can't grow.

If we looked in 2019 and found that you were aged 23 to 38, and then we looked in 2033, you would still have been aged 23 to 38 in 2019.

The age you had in 2019 will be the same in 2023, 2033, and 2043.

You are not able to reach back four years and change the age you were in 2019. Well, you might be able to if you found and corrected an error in a birth certificate that you did not discover until some time after 2019, but 3 million people won't be in that situation.

The Ms would be 37 to 52 in age range in 2033.

3 million sounds like a lot.

It's only a tool of oppression - divide and conquer.

And I fail to see what it has to do with Disney.

Read the OP carefully. I think the only word that could possibly construed as conflict is "eclipsed" and there it only means eclipsed in numbers without imputing conflict.

As to Disney, the Cons (esp. magats) see it as DeSantis against the "woke groomer" creating more transexuals which is how they see Disney. Cons are in a moral panic, seeing groomers everywhere and expecting a tidal wave of "mutilations" and increased mental illness (ignoring that transitioning can, for some cases determined by professionals, decrease mental distress).

It's been in the news for months.

for reasons that have nothing to do with desantis, but I'm an outlier of my generation.
Disney bowdlerizes both myth and history, and I really dislike computer animations, they're bland and lifeless. But the opening statements seem to take it for granted that only under-45 appreciate Disney.

I did like Fantasia. The original, the remake was disappointing.

In any case, the main feature of the post is a generational graph, following a paragraph about conflict. I didn't study it to the extent of a peer-reviewed paper, granted.
