To the judge presiding over the arraignment of "the defendant": Please hold him in custody for trial

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2023/08/hold-defendant-for-trial.html

There are three legitimate, legal reasons to do this, aside from the fact that it will show complete impartiality, and that this defendant will be treated like any other American, not with kid gloves because of who he is or was. We are a nation of laws, and respect for law and order is something to which all political sides lay claims. So treat him fairly and equitably under the law. Because of the risks he poses to the American people, and to showing up for the trial, lock him up.

I know I'm supposed to, but Trump is clearly (1) guilty, (2) unrepenant and (3) continuing to offend.

that running for President, the very position that enabled the unlawful abuse of access to classified records, the very position that shielded him from prosecution up until the inauguration, shows that this tone-deaf, shameless, moron of a person is a very real threat to national security and our way of life.

I suppose the prosecution is keeping notes on the violations he's committing at every single rally he holds and daily on his social media of all of the conversation he is having that he shouldn't be having.

I'm thrilled that he's been indicted, glad to see the charges and hope that he will be swiftly tried, convicted and imprisoned. But he is being treated with kid gloves in a way that is showing the American people we are not all equal under the law. No other defendant in such high security cases would ever get away without at the very least, the strictest of gag orders and immediately be taken into custody for violating it. It's disappointing to see that he is being given privileges and allowed to do as he pleases while under indictment. What kind of respect for the law does that show?

This judge has a reputation for being tough on the January 6th defendants. I hope beyond hope that she will consider the situation and put him in custody until the trial, but at the very least, a gag order that would bring him into custody if he opens his pie hole and says "boo" would be an improvement over what we've got.
