right now, Republicans are working to make this happen and theyre not even bothering to keep it a secret. theyre bragging about it. theyve published their plan. it has a name: the 2025 Project.
their scheme is to purge the entire government rank and file and replace them with Trump loyalists. thats right, everybody from the highest levels of the federal government all the way down to your local dogcatcher. and theyre not waiting until 2025 theyve already started recruiting foot-soldiers.
once everything is in place, well stop having stupid little things like elections, or freedom, or democracy. read the whole thing. it will scare the living fuck out of you.

I have all the confidence in the world in our Democratic Party leadership, and I do trust and believe in Joe Biden. I know he'll be re-elected next year. But I also know that there are a lot of skeevy, corrupt Repukes and Libertarian-types out there who will do ANYthing to see Biden lose. Why they support the idiot Donald Chump, I'll never understand.
Jeff Tiedrich asks a really important question: Where the fuck is the media? That's been my question ever since 2015. A lot of us here on DU are disgusted with the media's dereliction or outright failure.

Fossil companies.
Voter suppression.
Armed "lone wolf" minions.
The schools. They're conditioning children to get used to being supervised by armed authority, and busily banning books. Obeying the guy with the gun is good training for adult life.
The media. A commenter on Tiedrich's blog points out that about 10,000 journalists have been laid off. There are almost no independent media left in the US. The major outlets are all owned by a few corporations. The weeklies are gone. Most newspapers are gone. NPR broadcasts mostly thin treacle, as demonstrated by their 50-year anniversary remembrances, for comparison. The internet has been "commoditized", as outlined by Microsoft in its used-to-be-infamous Halloween memo. Newspapers, tv, twixxer, zuckbook all speak for the ruling class, and record our online activity. A few biscuits are allowed in to fool us into thinking that there is hope for discourse and journalism.
We are teetering on the thin edge of total fascism. It's almost here. What to do, what to do...

Your points are well taken, we need more than a liberal network that is owned by Republicans but for now, the is some major media responding to this

some independents. We do the same I guess we watch MSNBC for the same reason they watch Faux.

(We are assured that the reporters picked up their own tabs.) And across the restaurant, feet away: members of Team DeSantis.
