arguably, the media’s worst transgression was the sanewashing — the cleaning-up of Donny’s incomprehensible blitherings, to hide his obvious cognitive disintegration and make him sound coherent.

a minutes-long disjointed word-salad about how tariffs on Chinese goods were going to lower the cost of childcare became “a major economic speech.”

1. Is Trump a unique figure?

Because his alleged charisma is lost on me, so I can’t fathom the impunity with which he operates.

3. Charisma and Trump

When I see "charisma" and "Trump" in the same sentence I see those little magnetized scottie dogs I had when I was little, when I put them in the anti-magnetic position. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get past it.

Some people confuse the bluster and blather for "strength" and "charisma". It's always been ridiculous, but these are the same incredibly insecure doofuses who drive around in jacked up trucks with eight Trump flags in the back to flaunt their perceived masculinity.
