Where The Hell Is Alex Acosta?

Let me ask each and every one of you something: how dumb do these people think we are? No, seriously. How stupid does the House Oversight Committee think the American public has become? Because what they’re pulling right now isn’t just shameless; it’s insulting.
This week, in what they pitched as a bold move toward transparency and justice in the Jeffrey Epstein crimes case, Oversight Chairman James Comer and his Republican colleagues announced they’d be issuing subpoenas. Finally, right? A chance to lift the veil on one of, if not the darkest, most protected criminal operations in modern history. A glimmer of accountability for the rich and powerful who enabled, ignored, or participated in Epstein’s abuse.
But then they dropped the list. Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton. James Comey. Loretta Lynch. Robert Mueller. Merrick Garland. Eric Holder. Bill Barr. Jeff Sessions. Alberto Gonzales.
Now, some of these people may have useful information. And fine; if you want to haul them in, go for it. I don’t give a shit. But if you’re even pretending to care about justice, there’s one name that should’ve been at the very top of that list. One man who had the power, the opportunity, and the moral obligation to stop Epstein in his tracks nearly two decades ago—and chose instead to let him walk.
That man is Alex Acosta. And shocker: he’s nowhere to be found.
