How could the government shutdown end? Here are 4 scenarios

(CNN) The government shutdown is barreling forward, with few signs of a resolution over the weekend.

It’s normal for these shutdowns to feel intractable, right up until the moment one side suddenly caves. But the dynamics here are unusual and suggest this one could last longer than usual.

With that in mind, here are the ways it could ultimately come to an end.

what should stop during the shutdown

1. the ballroom
2. "air force 1"
3. travel/perdiem for govt officials
4. bail outs of argentina

etc etc etc

…basically calling them intransigent and “making demands.” The big ugly bill is a “demand” in and of itself.
