Tillis questions where Hegseth went after first boat strike

“I’ll take at face value, right now, what Secretary Hegseth said. He said he wasn’t there. He said he was busy doing other things,” the North Carolina Republican told host Kaitlan Collins. “I would assume a part of the record was, what was the other thing that he was doing that was more important than a battle damage assessment over the first strike in the Caribbean?”
Tillis said he wants a detailed account of what the Defense secretary did and what decisions were made over the course of the attack.
“All that’s important because, see, Secretary Hegseth is the leader of arguably the most complex, consequential organization in the history of mankind. Making a bad mistake could start a war,” he said late Wednesday. “Making a mistake can get American military personnel killed.”
“You’ve got to be tight on your execution, and you need to be tight on documenting every decision that could be subject to a question about whether or not the law of war, the law of the sea, were followed,” he continued.

What could've been more important?
... the Trump folks are very religious, it's well-known. Quite certainly, Hegseth stepped outside to pray for the souls of those he ordered to die. That's what a very religious person would do, I think.
