MAGA's Super Bowl Morality: Faith on the Banner, Rot on the Stage
Faith. Family. Freedom.
Three words MAGA screams like a holy incantation, right up until they become inconvenient.
Turning Point USAs Super Bowl halftime counter-spectacle was supposed to be a sermon, a righteous rebuke to decadent America. It was billed as a wholesome, patriotic alternative to whatever horrors Fox News assured its audience were lurking in the real halftime show, helmed by Bad Bunny, a Spanish-speaking Puerto Rican.
Instead, it became the most accidentally honest portrait of MAGA morality imaginable. When you slap Faith, Family, Freedom on the marquee and then hand the mic to Kid Rock, youre not defending values. Youre confessing that you dont have any.
This is the same Kid Rock whose lyrics crow about liking girls underagea line so explicit it sounds implausible because people understandably assume no movement obsessed with accusing others of grooming could possibly be this reckless. And yet there he was: headlining a values-themed spectacle, draped in flags, baptized by applause. The same Kid Rock who sings, Young ladies, young ladies, I like em underage/ See, some say thats statutory/ But I say its mandatory.
