Can the Republicans Be Saved From Obsolescence?
They walked me through a series of slides showing the wide discrepancies between the two campaigns. And just to make them feel really bad, Jacobson said as he punched another image onto the overhead screen. We say, Just wait this is the most important slide. And this is what kills them, because conservatives always look at young voters like the hot girl they could never date. He read aloud from the text: 1.25 million more young people supported Obama in 2012 over 2008.
In the light of his Apple monitor, Jacobsons grin took on a Luciferian glow. He is 33, wiry and well dressed and has the twitchy manner of a highly caffeinated techie. And then we continue with the cavalcade of pain, he said. The next chart showed that while the Romney campaign raised slightly more money from its online ads than it spent on them, Obamas team more than doubled the return on its online-ad investment.

(1,309 posts)The republicans are not obsolete due to technology or lack thereof. Their ideas are no longer hidden, They pissed off women, hispanics, educators, union members, the poor, the old etc. To sell your message or to generate money from multiple sources you need an attractive message. For the vast majority of our people they had none. Their only selling points were 1. An evil lazy black is going to get you after he takes your guns and closes your dirty coal mines 2. Your daddy always voted republican. Without these wonderful (sarcasm) messages they would not have gotten 15 percent of the vote.
In fact there is no ideology holding the republicans together. They are simply the benefactors of racism and parental voting patterns being handed down. A brain is a horrible thing to waste- were they talking about those who vote republican??

(22,000 posts)With the TV advertising the campaign bought slots in advance and got huge discounts. Romney's campaign used their resources poorly in addition to having jackshit for a campaign message.
