Stop Assuming the Boston Bomber Is a Muslim

Posted on Apr 16, 2013

The first tweet I saw when I checked my Twitter account Monday afternoon was a one-line plea: “Please don’t let it be a ‘Muslim.’”

That’s how I knew something terrible had happened. Not long after, the hashtag “Muslims” was trending worldwide on Twitter. Press releases from local and national Muslim organizations began to appear in my inbox within two hours of the explosions that devastated the Boston Marathon on Monday.

“MPAC Condemns Heinous Terror Act,” read an email from the Muslim Public Affairs Council. “This is a horrible crime, and we call on all of us as Americans to work together to bring those responsible to justice.”

And then another email, this one from the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Nihad Awad: “American Muslims, like Americans of all backgrounds, condemn in the strongest possible terms today’s cowardly bomb attack on participants and spectators of the Boston Marathon.” .................(more)

Either a Al Qaeda-hadist pawn or a Tea-hadist gun humper.

Foreign inspired rightist or Domestic inspired rightist.

Terrorists of a feather...

and all we know for now is that the scumbag is still out there.

We're just going to have to wait to find out what variety of vicious crazy it was.

Part of me hopes it wasn't a Muslim, too. They've had to eat enough shit since 9/11.

In addition, Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood also condemned the actions against civilians.

My "gut" feeling, it's a loner, or maybe two, like OKC, Atlanta, etc. I'm sure the experts have a funnel that includes known domestic terrorist organizations. I've taken a look at the Southern Poverty Law Center for groups in MA. and adjoining states. Of course, the west, and southwest have their share of haters, Arizona, Montana, Idaho come to mind.

If it turns out the perp is off the grid, he/they are probably no longer in the Boston area. There are marathons scheduled in Arizona, one this weekend, and of course, the Susan G. Komen event.
What are the gun nuts to do if their mighty assault rifles must be left at home? Maybe they will report any gossip in their ranks to the FBI? Don't hold your breath

I'll let the experts handle what may be a long road to finding those responsible.
