If you rip off a 7-11 for a candybar you're set for a five year term. The banksters rip off multiple millions and rarely if ever even get charged, much less sent to prison. The entire equation needs to be reversed. Petty thieves have the potential for rehabilitation. Corporate theives make their career off of crime and are well beyond the rehabilitation point. They're "entitled" to it, you know.

Pardon the language, but our system is too fucked up for words other than "fucked up". Our society and economy will not be fundamentally different until we fix this problem.
