We shouldn't pop out the champagne yet. Rush probably ain't going anywhere unless he retires or croaks. And even when that happens, the wingnuts are still plenty deep when it comes to Hater Radio. They'll have somebody ready to replace him, plus they've still got Hamster Boy, Michael Sausage, Ingraham, Malkin, and others stirring up propaganda.
Wingnut Radio is a very lucrative and thriving business.

7. I have seen the shift....

There was a time in this country when you would meet a young guy who would discover Limbaugh and in a few weeks would be calling themselves a "Dittohead" with pride as they mindlessly parroted what he spouted. These types were hilarious if something happened on the weekend because they would be lost until they heard Rush tell them how to react on Monday.

These types are non-existent now. You don't find young guys discovering his show and having the same reaction because his reputation precedes him. It's decidedly not "cool" to be a "Dittohead". (It wasn't before, but now you get laughed at)

His time is done. When he started politics wasn't "cool". People ignored what went on in DC but the Iraq War changed all of that. Limbaugh and the entire Right Wing lost all credibility and the country began to pay attention and that signals the death of the Right as it thrives in a vacuum caused by people being apathetic and uninformed.
