I don't even know where Benghazi is. Nevertheless, they've got a remarkably short memory if they think Benghazi is a bigger scandal than a pointless war that costed thousands of lives.

A poll showed that 41% of Republicans believe to Benghazi to be the biggest political scandal to ever occur in US history.

The same poll also shows that 39% of Republicans have no idea where Benghazi is.

I'm willing to bet that this 39% makes up the majority of this 41%. For those who are not so good at math, this means that roughly 95% of Republicans who think Benghazi is the biggest scandal to ever happen, have no idea where Benghazi is.

Not only to weaken Hillary, and Obama...

also to occupy and distract their base from news stories and news sources where they might actually be accurately informed,
and to control the news so they can crowd out useful or favorable news,
and, no doubt, someone is making money from the hype - political donations, etc.
and, of course, Republicans only know how to attack, criticize, and make war. This is what they do.
