...when they showed them the recruitment videos talking about ''being all you can be.'' But when you think about it, the armed forces and the private prison industry are the only growth industries in the US.

- Besides Wall Street.......

Maybe if they weren't consistently mistreating the 'detainees' they wouldn't be called names and 'splashed.'

Especially since most of the prisoners there have done nothing to be there in the first place.

Gitmo is a hardship tour if you're NOT involved in prisoner issues.

There will always be bad apples who are unsuited to the task, but all it takes is one or two to cause massive problems and the attendant bad publicity.

The problem with Gitmo is that it's there. I think our justice system can handle these guys--or at least, could handle these guys. Porgie didn't have the faith in our system that most of us do. We don't always get it right, but we get it right more often than most.
