...Longines Chronoscope, one of the great-granddads of what we now think of as the "Sunday talking head shows".

The topic is Senator Joseph McCarthy, who at this time was still on the rise with his demagoguery, and had not yet been exposed as a fraud.

The guest is Arthur Garfield Hays, who was general counsel for the (American) Civil Liberties Union

The "coeditors" were:
Victor Riesel, labor columnist for the New York Daily Mirror.
William Bradford Huie, editor of The American Mercury
