I was in an in town Webelos pack (part of the cub scouts/ part of the boy scouts) for several months. This was after being in the cub scouts for 2 years (on base in the Philippines). Until it was discovered I was Jewish.
I had an adult scoutmaster, if I remember correctly an eagle scout, tell me that the Boy Scouts of America did not need some damn jews. I was no longer welcome.

The idea that the boy scouts is deeply connected to Churches is not surprising. The idea that a boy scout troop is a perfect place for a pedophile is obvious. The idea that Pat Robinson has something to fear from homosexuals is ludicrous (seriously, picture that wrinkly ass, now try to get a hard on).

Back in the mid 70's in out town in Kentucky we had Cub Scouts, Webelos and boy Scouts but we did not have Brownies or Girl Scout Troops. My mother jumped through hoops to get a Brownie troop started so my sister could participate all was fine until the day some African American girls wanted to join and the other mothers of the troop said no way! My mother basicly to them to go to hell and she was not denying any little girl to join if they wanted to. It was a rough couple of months but my mother won out and after awhile it was like nothing ever happened (it did help that she had the type of husband that no one dared messed with).

Robertson and his cronies rely on surveys asking gays to publicly go on record about their sexual identity. In an age where you can still be fired or tossed out of your home for being truthful about this, why would anyone do anything but lie?

Kinsey was much closer on the numbers. More recent polling has reflected a campaign of lies to minimize gay advancement.
