1. Putting my mind past the arrests and such

It takes videos like this to give me hope in humanity, and hope in American society in gneeral.

2. There are still a lot of sane people....

they just haven't figured out how to put the loud minority out of power again.

Koch Bros/John Birch Society and Moral Majority/ALEC were rumbling in the 1970s. The public soundly rejected their extremist ideals. They went underground - off the radar - and found ways to impose their will on everyone else via AFP, ALEC, et al. Our illustrious and criminal USSC, being occupied by at least a couple Tea Partiers and 5 conservatives - has helped them via Citizens United, gutting VRA etc.

That's where we are. But we don't have to stay here.

4. That's been my question.

They are arresting folks for 'loitering' and 'refusing to disperse'.

While the NC cops are nice and there is mutual respect and has been no issues between them & the protesters, not sure under what authority they're being arrested given the 1st Amendment.

I wondered the same. Don't know.
