Syria's opposition accused government forces of gassing hundreds of people on Wednesday by firing rockets that released deadly fumes over rebel-held Damascus suburbs, killing men, women and children as they slept.

With the death toll estimated between 500 and 1,300, what would be the world's most lethal chemical weapons attack since the 1980s prompted an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council in New York.

10. The video shows kids being revived with cold water

that is being poured over their faces. As their faces are wiped off, they start to move and flutter their eyelids.

It's hard to say what has happened in this video. If the people were posed, they were posed extremely well, suggesting seizures followed by unconsciousness.

"The first casualty of war is truth"--several politicians, all paraphrasing Aeschylus. Many war stories that outrage people are later proven false, like the "babies taken out of incubators and thrown on the floor" story out of the invasion of Kuwait.

It was hard to tell people that was baloney, too, since "incubators" had not been used since the 50s, it was Isolettes. However, it was pure baloney.

A skeptical eye is absolutely necessary.

I will say this one looks legitimate, people flushing the whole scene with water, foam at the corner of a child's mouth. I do wonder what sort of agent would knock people out instead of killing them outright.

However, I wonder why they're all on their backs. People rendered unconscious through drug or gun generally crumple forward.

I feel so bad for these people and children suffering in this cowardly attack on these innocents. We can't quickly blame until we know who really did it. Assad's thugs may done that and there are high chance that rebels would do that in hope to gain the false sympathy toward them from around the word. I wish I would be there to assist these innocents in long recovery. God, I have two very young boys, haven't hit 5 yet and I keep thinking about these children. It pains me.
