I'd like to hear what guys think of this documentary "The Bro Code". Warning: there are some disturbing parts and if you have experienced abuse or assault proceed with caution. Some parts of this video upset me for days.
I posted this yesterday morning, but realized I should have put it in this forum rather than GD: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023988203

(802 posts)1. This stuff has always been annoying to me.
I'm a two spirit, so I'm naturally somewhat immune. But I've always considered the "beer commercial" masculinity to be extraordinarily stupid, and has it's ties with alcoholic states as well. I hope this sort of video would get played on Spike teevee and the like, but it doesn't fit the "sex sells" meme. I'm hoping this sort of attitude perpetuation starts to turn around someday, begins to be recognized as extremist.

Love to see this used in high school and college classes.
