Very libertarian, so social net bad. If only we had Bitcoin...

I know the Max segments are short, but the guests usually have a connection to something they normally talk about. Undermining the theme of the show just to finally say Bitcoin good! was weird.

It is hard to watch Max like I do, and watch the market as I do, and reconcile these two situations. I'm in the Max column in that I don't believe there are any fundamentals to support a market at this level. Pricing of certain IPOs, $3B being offered and declined for Snapchat makes me think they're all idiots again. But the market continues to rise.

Salaries are not rising. Food prices are. Fuel is still way too high even though it's lower of late. It's all very strange.

because people had very little help from government.

Aside from a ruthless and unfair class system that forced most people into poverty for some part of their life, 1914 England would see you doing this, if you were a woman:

"I open'd the shutters, lighted the fires & clean'd the hearths. Clean'd 1 pair o'boots. Swept and dusted the parlour & got the Master's breakfast up ... clean'd the parlour things & wash'd up what was dirty ... Went to the Missis for orders and brought her breakfast things down. Clean'd the knives. Fill'd the scuttles & made the kitchen fire up. Got dinner ready. Clean'd away the dirty things ... Wash'd up after & clean'd up the kitchen ... got the supper ready ... Clean'd away and wiped the knives. Lock'd up the doors - put a plate of beer to catch the beetles. Wound the clock up & put wood to dry & to bed at 11." http://www.historytoday.com/june-purvis/women-england-1760-1914

And you got continual sexual harassment and NO days off. I can't believe this fool is going on about how wonderful 1914 England was.

In the US, you got to look forward to freezing to death or starving while living in a chicken coop in your retirement years.

Oh yes bring back the wonders of 1914.
