......right up until they too are fired.
And people wonder why there are cases where former employees go on a rampage.

(32,723 posts)Those that paid in actual cash saw that cash loop back to them in housing, clothing and food purchased at the company store. Others gave up the pretense altogether and paid in their own script that was only good at the company store so you were trapped in that life until you could no longer work and then you were cast out.

Reading their history from about 1865 to the period you see above is damn instructive. Mother Jones, Bill Haywood, James J. Matles - will give you a bit of the education that was removed to create the propaganda most people are taught, if they are are taught much of anything about labor.
