On a serious note, I hope that my new senior senator does not run, and that she serves Massachusetts for a while.

The GOPigs are always trying to make inroads in this state, and with her new win I hope that she cements a Democratic hold on the state for some time to come.

That doesn't mean that I don't believe that she would make a fine President, but I would like her to be a fine Senator first.

If anything, Hillary is less appealing than she was in 2007, she's older, more of her centrist/corporatist connections have come to light.

Might as well run Diane Feinstein as Hillary Clinton.

We have to do better than this.

Put the right man or woman up against the best on the right and we'll win.

prevalent within the party. And no, Hillary's poll numbers in 2005-2007 were nothing compared to what they are this time around. She generally got 35% of the vote in the early polling. Obama entered in the low 20s. Her original lead over him was about 15 points. This time around, Clinton is polling in the mid-60s with Joe Biden--the sitting vice-president--at about 10 percent.

None of this means that she will win. Just that she seems to be appealing to a lot of people.

This early lead has to be considered impressive IMO. It is not something that is normally seen, especially not when placed against a sitting vice-president. This doesn't mean that she will win. It just means that she is in a good position.

Barack Obama.

She speaks the people's language. She is talking on our behalf. No other politician in either party can or will do that like she does.

She is absolutely the greatest communicator I have seen in a long, long time. She will excite people and get out the vote. Hillary will not do that like Elizabeth Warren will. Just wait. If we can get Elizabeth Warren to run, she will do extremely well.

I don't see Warren being able to debate a wing nut. They are persistent loud mouths and the debates are rigged against the Democrats, as is media.

I can just see some idiot like Christie, Paul, Cruz or another, making cheap shots and telling lies repeatedly, not answering questions, yelling over the voice of reason that she represents, to the roar of the idiots in the audience. And Democrats will get upset when the media says she lost the pissing contest, even though she says the truth.

Despite Warren's level of commitment and her competence, I can't see her as electable. For that matter, I don't see Hillary as electable, either, unless the Democrats show up in numbers like they did for Obama in 2008. I don't see that happening.

I am more impressed with Hillary after some of her resume was posted here. But we have a troglodyte segment of this country that will NEVER accept either of these women no more than they accepted THAT MAN being BLACK in THEIR WHITE HOUSE. Good gawd, what a huge disappointment it's been.

It sickens me to see the depths that this nation has been brought down by the great teacher, media. And just how close these fascists are to winning. Even here at DU we are not immune to their BS. Because we get our info from the poisoned river of billionaire media.

But seeing Maddox and Warren talking to each other, so self-aware, able to understand the past, present and future of what we could be as a nation is uplifting. I refuse to watch television media but am grateful DUers take the time to post Maddox and other good videos here showing there is a change in the wind, even if not reflected in MIC media.

When Warren said Social Security cuts are off the table, what a relief to so many people. Still, the dreaded tax word was avoided, as usual. Proving the Koches and Grover still stifle the national conversation.

BTW, anyone catch that elephant in the banner holding his beggar cup out and these words?

SPARE SOME CHANGE?

Is it a slap at Democrats or Republicans?

Anyway, the focus must be on 2014 still. That is how the House will be cleaned as Warren says. We can't forget this. And we can't afford to let the status quo continue.

Thanks for posting.

I love Senator Warren. I voted for her, I went to see her speak.

Yet I have problems posting on the Op's that want her to run. My belief, and yes it may just be me, I believe she can do more good for us and more damage to the GOP and banksters where she is. She is an amazing and forceful woman. She is righteous!

The Senate is her time and her place. Look what our beloved Senator Ted Kennedy did for us.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight: Ted Kennedy Leaves Long, Impressive Legacy

Gender Equity:

Kennedy saw the Senate of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1972, which aimed to make men and women equal in the constitution. He reintroduced the legislation again this congressional session, but it has yet to make it into the constitution.

Kennedy championed Title IX of the Civil Rights Act in 1972, which prevented educational institutions from discriminating against women (afterward, colleges and universities integrated, paving the way for women like Sonia Sotomayor and Hillary Clinton to attend Ivy League institutions), as well as requiring equitable athletic opportunities.

Civil Rights:

Kennedy saw the passage of the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1988 as committee chairman, which strengthened the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Afterward, then-executive director of the Leadership Council on Civil Rights Ralph Neas said, "Now you see what happens when you have a civil rights champion in charge of the committee."

He was also chief sponsor on the Civil Rights Act of 1991, which addressed intentional discrimination and harassment in the workplace. He was also a key sponsor of legislation by the same name in 2008, which sought to restore civil rights protections stripped by Supreme Court rulings in recent years (like the Lilly Ledbetter case).

So much more here~

But I'm sure the people posting these are just showing their enthusiasm for her, but more so, the ideas she represents.

It's disturbing to me any of the Northeast would vote for a Koch puppet like Christie.

We're in a different time than the young Kennedys were. They all what they could to make the world a better place.

Warren is a treasure and I thank Obama for talking her into public service. It's a very hard thing going against the status quo.

I want the American people of the right and left to hear her ideas. I'd also like to see Bernie Sanders run. I think Elizabeth Warren is the most electable of the Democrats right now. I really want to see her run. She is a gracious lady. The 2016 election will be about values. Elizabeth Warren represents the old-fashioned values of the Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton represents the banks. So do all the Republicans. Elizabeth Warren represents the American people. Therein lies the contrast. And that is why Elizabeth Warren will beat Hillary Clinton or any Republican any day.

My hope, if he is the repub. nominee, is that he loses it in a tough debate and tries to bully her. I want to see him snarl in her face and look menacing. She won't be fazed one bit but he'll lose so badly that she could very well destroy him...
