5. Not sure what you mean. There are a lot of different takeaways from a clip like that.

I gather it was a Jenny Jones look at whipping "bad" kids into shape, boot camp style.

I don't relate to that.

I only relate to being a boy that age without a dad.

I don't relate to ever getting a big hug like that, or being on a TV show.

Like you, I wonder where he is now, and if he's happy.

i was right there with you. i am sad you can relate, because it means you did not have a dad around. when i say i do not know the feeling, it is because i had a dad. a connected dad. so i know... what was very much needed in my life, that other kids do not get to have.

there are all kinds of variables. so i have to be careful in saying that. an abusive dad is well worth not having in our lives. but, kids need dad. love lost.

A stepfather who came along later was possibly worse than none.

But in any even I think my early years with a mom and grandmother and sister in one home were nurturing and I think there are a lot of "man" lessons that I'm better off having never learned.

If you know what I mean.

That right there, was sad to me.

And then, as they say, children speak the truth. Drill sergeant dude 'got it'. I'm glad he realized what was happening.

I am very curious what became of him, but, on the other hand, he had his privacy violated to a staggering degree right then and there on that show, so, part of me doesn't want to know.

because big tough guy had tears starting up in his eyes and he didn't want the audience to see it...

Maybe Santa could bring all their parents decent jobs this Christmas so they can take care of the kids. Sure as hell aren't gonna get the government's help with it.
