What a Labor Leader Said in Response to a Social Security Lie

How do I vote for the guy who media "doesn't believe in." I'm glad to hear what "most people" believe. The real thing is to have them realize is that "most people" don't believe in them.

I am so sick of the right wing gasbags calling the money I PUT IN since I was 14 years old an entitlement.
Social Security is NOT an ENTITLEMENT It is money I have given to the government so I wouldn't be dirt poor when I get too old to work.
And every moderate voice on every show MUST correct this lie. They MUST.

You are bloody well entitled to it. Amazing how the media and the right-wing spinners have been able to turn "entitlement" into a dirty word. Just as they did with "liberal."

They're 1%-ers or 1%-wannabes who've bought into the bullshit about social programs because it makes them feel comfortable to do so. They're lost to the truth because the lies they accept as true allow them to continue comfortably in their worship of greed.

I despise them for their ignorance and pity them their cold lack of compassion. But I'm just not so sure they're actually lying -- in their own cold, shriveled, stoney hearts, they think, in full invincible ignorance, that they're on the side of truth.

for getting the money back from the banks they gave it to. They could put that into Social Security and help stabilize that. If not this is just the second part of redistributing funds from the people who don't have much to the people who have more than enough.

Every question he got was loaded with corporate poo, and he flung it right back at them! Is is NOT a hard truth that the solution to the budget deficit is to "rein in" these programs; the fact is that they are likely the most-well-funded programs of the federal government!

Highly recommend this!

I get sick of the few rich people trying to get rid of social security while owning companies making billions off the backs of us with tax abatements, corporate welfare, low wages except for a few of them, and lack of responsibility towards the environment. The fascist movement in our government has to be slowed down to a crawl before any common-sense thinking American even considers getting rid of the only social benefit keeping a majority of retirees out of poverty.

Corporate media ain't having any of it. Won't hear repeats of this huh. Just like the F-up filibuster bullshit and corporate media again spreading only the RWers talking points.

Social media is the key as well as word by mouth to get the truth out there! This should go viral!!!!

of the deficit....it is funded separately, and the ONLY tweek it needs to stay viable is to RAISE the maximum salaries that are affected by it.....more people need to put into it that are making the big bucks.....and LIMIT the maximum payout per month at the highest end.

That makes the point even more strongly, since if they knew they were truly right, they would have an immediate response with more evidence to back them up.

notice at the very end the CNBC guy basically admitted he sees the U.S. as a plutocracy, and Silvers picked up on it.
