Kelly now claims her racism was an "offhand jest" and that the skin color of Jesus remains an unsettled question.
Why does Martin Bashir lose his job for criticizing Palin's racism while Megyn Kelly's goes back on camera and claims her racism is comedy?
Sorry Megyn, but racism is NOT comedy! Megyn's after-the-fact dodge falls as flat as her would-be humor.

December 12, 2013 - Jon Stewart is really getting tired of Fox News still flogging this War on Christmas nonsense, and Thursday night, he said that "shit's getting real." He took on both Gretchen Carlson and Megyn Kelly Thursday night for freaking out about a Festivus pole and black Santa. Stewart mocked Fox's "manger danger warnings" before getting to the "crazy" stuff Kelly said about why Santa is white, period. Stewart explained the historical person Santa is based on actually had a darker skin pigmentation. And on the follow-up point that Jesus was white, Stewart said, "You do know Jesus wasn't born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, right?"
Jessica Williams then joined Stewart to explain that black people feeling uncomfortable about a white Santa need to get over it, while anything at all that makes white people feel uncomfortable has to be fixed immediately.

Instead, they will lapse into long winded rationalizations that usually end with,
"I was only joking. This is YOUR problem for being bothered by my humor."
which is exactly what Kelly did in this piece.
The Black Santa
Modern forensic anthropology has developed tools to help discover what people looked like. These techniques are primarily used to assist in identifying unknown crime victims. However, they can be used also for historic personages when there is access to the right information. Normally, this would be skeletal remains, including the skull.
St. Nicholas' remains are buried in the crypt of the Basilica di San Nicola in Bari, Italy. These bones were temporarily removed when the crypt was repaired during the 1950s. At the Vatican's request, anatomy professor Luigi Martino from the University of Bari, took thousands of minutely-detailed measurements and x-ray photographs (roentgenography) of the skull and other bones.
The current professor of forensic pathology at the University of Bari, Francesco Introna, knew advancements in diagnostic technique could yield much more from the data gathered in the 1950s. So he engaged an expert facial anthropologist, Caroline Wilkinson, at the University of Manchester in England, to construct a model of the saint's head from the earlier measurements.

The result of the project is the image of a Greek man, living in Asia Minor (part of the Greek Byzantine Empire), about 60-years old, 5-feet 6-inches tall, who had a heavy jaw and a broken nose.
