Oh boy is that infuriating to suggest the fix to SS, which is unnecessary in the first place according to Thom, is now we all have to work until we’re 75? I have a friend involved with HR and he says many companies whisper to their recruiters that they are not interested in talking to any candidates over 40! So your career is over at forty these days and the fix to SS is to work until you’re 75? These people don’t know how to think! And why should they learn, they got theirs and screw us!

Of course, she's a nice person. Nice person, nice face, nice daddy. Nice executives at MSNBC, who will soon find itself among the myriad of networks fully "corporatized".

(steaming pile of shit here)

I shared it on facebook with a preamble, which is required because my FB buddies are a lot more Conservative than our DU Choir, and I FB to try to break into their bubbles. And vise-versa, as I get their posts and it's an excellent insight into what they think and believe. I have people for the duration of my life time that I highly respect as honorable and intelligent and of good moral character that believe so much of that Ayn Rand dog eat dog propaganda I get cognitive dissonance.

And this them or us civil war we are all immersed in can be overcome if we reach across the aisle to our fellow citizens and realize we have a hell of a lot more that unites us than divides us. It's the DEEP STATE OLIGARCHY, DUMMY!

For my fellow boomer's approaching retirement, and younger people scared about theirs, this Thom Hartmann video is well worth five minutes of your brain. For those that have internalized the agenda driven meme that your social security money will not be there when you reach retirement age, here’s some FACTS to ALLAY THE PROPAGANDA from a few of our Oligarch’s you’ve heard over the years. So frequently and for so long you assume it has merit and some basis in actual fact.

Well, what do you know! There’s a gap between real facts and propaganda when it comes to this myth!

Reagan doubled the SS tax in the early eighties to handle the retirement needs of the large demographic bulge that is the baby boom generation. So, for a time projected out to 2033, boomer's were funding both their own retirement and the additional money needed for the large amount of extra people. That went to the SS TRUST FUND, which is separate from Social Security itself. The Trust Fund will disappear after 2033. And then, without any changes, SS will be able to fund 75% of retirees needs. So a tweak will be needed to get back to 100%, but the options to increase the funding back to 100%, to me, seem to require nothing more than making the wealthy pay their fair share. (The maximum income subject to SS taxes is $117,000 for 2014. IF your income is greater, it is TAX FREE.)

The vid is also helping for your personal training to spot corporate shills on tv so called news shows.
