That the profile used in selecting police candidates needs to be changed drastically. Those passing the test for police work do not have an interest to protect and serve but to control and dominate. It is why police kill over sarcastic remarks or a pack of cigarettes -- even the phantom hand reaching into the waistband when nothing is present there, or a cell phone looks like a gun. This problem can be reversed. They just need to stop hiring these thugs. Of course, when they start hiring using a different profile they would also have to alter their training in order to retain this new breed of police officer. Frankly, I don't expect that this change will occur in my lifetime. Instead we will continue to read about the slaughter of innocent people by the police and the coverup of non-working equipment (the other side of the coin -- police corruption).

ago. I had insomnia and I went out for a drive. I stopped at a gas station on the way back. There were two policemen in the parking lot, might have been arguing. The lights were on in the gas station but they were on kind of low. The steroid guy looked at me when I got out of my car. I ask if the station was open he did not answer me, but the roid rage I want to kill for existing was palpable. I got back in the car and hope an 1/8 a tank would get me home. If the other cop hadn't been there I think he would have punched me.

Amerika is a fascist country. The Stasi are everywhere.
THEY ARE THE TERRORISTS.

on edit..cops always say "stop resisting" while killing or beating the hell out of a citizen. It MUST be in their training manual.

This is why the DHS and the military has been equipping them. They've already received their training from their previous service.

Cops are trained to shout stop resisting by default even if the person is resisting or not. Then when the audio or video is played in court it makes it seem as if a non-resisting subject was indeed resisting. So the officer saying 56 times to stop resisting means nothing. - http://crooksandliars.com/2014/02/secret-video-reveals-cop-beat-defenseless is but one of countless examples.

Here's what the ACLU found...

But, the A.C.L.U. says, the guards do seem to use the same terms repeatedly, shouting, “Stop resisting!” and “Stop fighting!” while they hit inmates, even when inmates are not moving or are in handcuffs. - http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/28/us/aclu-suit-details-wide-abuse-in-los-angeles-jail-system.html?pagewanted=all

Second the claim that the man took the officer's baton and hit him with it I simply find unbelievable. A untrained and intoxicated student took a weapon from a trained usually muscular police officer and was able to strike him with it.

The student was shot in the back at close range for contempt of cop. That's all you need to know. The rest is the officer covering his ass.

It's sad that I had to go to Russia Today for the full story and not these cover the police ass versions in the United States media...

One resident who wished to remain anonymous told KSAT.com that Carter did not seem to warn the college student that he had drawn his weapon.

“I didn’t hear him say anything like, ‘Get down on your hands and knees,' you know? I didn’t hear him say anything. He just started shooting,” the witness said. “He emptied the gun on him.”

Another, though, said he heard a phrase that could have been among Redus’ last words. Mohammad Haidarasl, who lives on the ground floor of the apartment building, told the San Antonio Express that the college student seemed to make a sarcastic remark.

“I heard [a man say], ‘Oh, you’re gonna shoot me?’” Haidarasl said. Less than a minute went by until gunshots rang out. “I jumped up and hid in my closet.” - http://rt.com/usa/autopsy-texas-shot-student-back-485/

Stop grabbing my gun. Lethal force is justified as long as the authorities are the lethal enforcers.

When he was joking with a cop who clearly wasn't joking back. Luckily, we got away without any one suffering bodily harm.

Yeah… And, unless there has been a sudden drop in the night shift, you have dispatch to call for back up.

Want to follow this one… In fact, I wonder if somewhere someone is keeping track of Gestapo tactics within each police department.

Also, I'd want to know exactly where this was in SA… There are gangs south of the missions, but I sense this has NOTHING to do with them.

exactly what happens in a police state. Once you militarize the police, there is no way you can ever rein in their power. Things are only going to continue to get worse unless people start speaking out.
