In college at the time, I remember this very well. I guess we (of that generation) thought TV would be the great equalizer to end all the provincialism and fascism. That was mostly true for a couple decades. But, as in this piece, our elected reps just continued the treachery which brought about our worst nightmare again, only this time it's the internet as well as TV that have been usurped. Everyone forgets to mention Wellstone, so here it is: why the senate Dems acted so docile since. IMHO.
