1. The Ukrainian "Ministry of Free Speech", controlled by Svoboda, often reverses the story

claiming that the Eastern Militia is breaking it. In reality Poroshenko does not have complete control of the "National Guard" which is made up of "Nationalists" (Right wing extremists/neo-Nazi's) and some prisoners let out of jail. That is why there have been war crimes occurring and civilians are not well respected.

From the start, it was these groups of extremists (Right Sector, Svoboda, etc) that were financed by one of the oligarghs and spreading terror caused entire chain of events that has led to civil war. This may not be so simple to de-escelate.

Poroshenko did can the Svoboda leader that was running Ukraine's Attorney General's office. That would appear a sign that he would like to remove the neo-nazi leaders from their positions in the Executive. Whether he has the ability to safely do so and determined to truly change those dynamics is yet to be seen.
