Rev. Al is doing a greater service by being on MSNBC and he is reaching a wider audience. We need both of them, and about a hundred more!

(52,350 posts)"New fusion politics." Exactly, what did he mean about that? He's not referring to Thirdway politics, is he?

(22,666 posts)NC has its own history with what's called "fusion" politics:

IMO, 'Third Way' is Republican Lite/Corporate-controlled. Fusion is a coming together of parties for populist causes. At least that's how I perceive it.

(90,021 posts)Not one of these great speakers and inspiring thinkers and hard-working activists actually DOES manage, literally, to "destroy the right-wing." The bad guys never feel a thing. And their movement certainly is not destroyed. Or stopped. Or even slowed down.

It's a PTSD thing.

It's not a personality thing...it's the noise I can't tolerate...like I said it doesn't matter what the message is. I was not trying to disrespect anyone. I admitted the problem was mine. So why the snark?

(29,035 posts)I love that preachy voice when it's speaking the truth. I'll always regret not going to hear Martin Luther King the one time I had a chance to do so. I will not miss a opportunity to hear Rev. Barber.

(33,349 posts)so haven't had the pleasure of hearing the Rev. Dr. Wm. Barber speak. My husband
has heard him speak in person, and he is truly charismatic.

I can understand that now from seeing this video. He has put together an amazing movement.
I truly hope we see some results from it at the polls in November.
