5. As I think this over, perhaps as a whole, this is totally connected to today.

I recall sitting in a snack shop near where I was a resident in a dorm, listening to this one over and over again. Looking back, there is so much that is honest and true about this song. So much hatred we have here. "Hate your next door neighbor, but don't forget to say grace." Isn't that what the hatred toward the immigrant children refugees is all about? Aren't they our neighbors to the south?. Racism, class and cultural hatred still exist and in some cases, it is far worse than 47 or 48 years ago. I don't know? I don't really know.
