(111 posts)Yup, the White House "scam" about Republicans threatening impeachment seems to be working. Thanks to the Honorable Congressman Boehner I am now aware of it. In fact, I'm sending Obama and the Democratic Party some money as soon as I finish posting this.
(I wonder why my software tries to change Boehner into Boner whenever I type his name)
Well anyway, thank you "Boner" for reminding me to support my President from all enemies, foreign and Domestic.

(1,180 posts)and the Repugs are the masters of it.
When any one of them can actually cite a high crime and/or misdemeanor that the POTUS is actually guilty of, it will be the first.
I posted this elsewhere but again, being Black and being President isn't an impeachable offense.

(45,251 posts)Well, that and his lips moving. Keep your eyes peeled for either or both of those clues and you will not be misled.
ETA: Well, then again, you might be misled. Republicans are pretty good at misleading. Maybe they'll find a way of speaking deceptively without either moving their lips or crying. Can't be too careful

(3,871 posts)The Republican candidate for the Iowa U.S. Senate seat called the president a dictator and said he must face the consequences
Sarah Palin might have called for the impeachment of President Barack Obama Tuesday, but Iowa Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst actually beat her to the punch by six months.
At a Montgomery County, Iowa, candidate forum in January, Ernst told a crowd that she believed Obama had become a dictator and that he needed to face the consequences for his executive actions, whether thats removal from office, whether thats impeachment.
The video, which was previously described to Yahoo News by a source, was posted, removed and then posted again online at AOL. Yahoo News was able to view a cached version of the previously unpublished video before it went live. The clip shows the January Montgomery County GOP Forum in Red Oak, Iowa. The Ernst campaign tweeted out a photograph of the forum Jan. 15.
Ernst was asked what punishment Obama should suffer if the Supreme Court ruled against him in a then-pending case on the constitutionality of his recess appointments, and what she would do as a senator to stop his blatant abuse of power. The Supreme Court has since ruled against the administration in that case.

At time index 0:47 in the video, one can see candidate Joni Ernst discussing impeachment:
Six months ahead of Palin...how can one begin to quantify the craziness of that?

(4,113 posts)Every day some prominent Republican spews out the most outrageous lies and their base will just lap it up.
These days, a computer and a few seconds on Google exposes how much and how extreme the lying is, such as Boehner's statement that impeachment is a fabrication from the Democrats and the White House.

(1,933 posts)for their defeat. The RW is like a bunch of whining bullies. Why don't they just admit it is because Obama is Black. For years now starting with Clinton all they do is try to find ways to impeach a Democratic president. Puky Palin a know nothing know it all makes me ill to look at her. Now Rand Paul is courting Black voters in Kentucky. They are pitiful liars and I hope Black Kentuckians let him know they are not biting.
