(9,753 posts)And everyone was pretty chuffed about this at work today. I ride that train (different line, but same system) every day.
And you'd have to step wrong very precisely to fall through the gap. Looking at the footage, the guy accidentally put his foot in the absolutely perfect position for his foot to slip through.

(8,401 posts)The gap didn't appear to be any larger than the gap between the platform and train in any NYC (where I live) subway station. Great to see that people chipped in and helped, but I gotta say, for the life of me, I can't imaging what would possess someone to put his foot in that position while exiting a train!

(9,753 posts)And he was pivoting as he left the car. I looked at the car when I got on last night, and I could see how you'd just barely be able to get your foot into the slot.
