I'm surprised there isn't more on this subject on DU right now.
I consider myself a non-interventionist that is considering becoming an interventionist. James Foley is not the first to be killed by this bunch. They leave a path of destruction, terror and death wherever they go, and don't appear to be stopping anytime soon. So far it's been their way or death, convert or die. There is another choice, but it will most likely take war.

One thing to consider: they will have few allies. They are so extreme as to be against everyone that doesn't believe exactly as they do.
