(6,335 posts)Its a fact that the lower the turnout, the worse it is for Democrats.

(1,555 posts)It'd be cutting off their nose to spite their face.
They'd be shinning additional spot lights on their already spot-lit, and non-spot lit corruptive practices... would be counter productive for them.

(561 posts)discourage Democrats from voting because people that vote GOP have accepted political business as usual for so long without question. Screw the Fat Man

"people before party."
I stand with Bernie Sanders who happens to be our only chance to create the country we need and want.
He definitely is not the "lesser of two evils."
Under his public service we will see great strides in the issues that we want changed.
We all know his priorities, they are those of he vast majority of Americans.
Like F.D.R. proved, one person (as POTUS) CAN AND WILL usher in a new era. Bernie is that person.

(1,620 posts)concern me. It certainly does not at all disqualify him, but there are long-term concerns to consider (like you better pick a running mate that is ready to take your place and not undo what you accomplished - so the complete opposite of what McCain did in 2008). If elected president, and it is a very long shot, he would take the title from Reagan for being the oldest man elected to the office.
